The result - a GIVEAWAY!!
That cute Janet over at Rogue Quilter has been inspiring me for weeks with all her wonderful patriotic quilts and when I dropped into her blog this morning, there were lots more goodies!! All "Flag Waving" quilts as Janet says!! And then I saw that she has told you where she got some of her gorgeous patriotic fabrics - from my Etsy shop!! Whoo! Hoo!!
I love all the quilts she has been working on and receiving in swaps, but this one is my most favorite ~
And then this one that Janet made for Gayle in their little swap is fabulous and Janet forgot to mention that she HAND quilted this sweet quilt!!
So, Janet's quilts are my motivation and since it is getting close to July 4th - a most patriotic day here in the States - I thought I would make a patriotic quilt for my kitchen table and giveaway some of the darling fabrics that Janet used in her quilts!!

Of all of the patriotic quilts you pictured, the first one - with stripes and stars! - is my favorite, and I would love to make something similar but perhaps smaller to use as a door quilt for 9/11 every year, and July 4th, and Memorial Day too!
red and blue are my most like colors..so I'd make a nice picnic quilt.
I would make hexagons and make them into a tote bag. Perfect to take to the picnic!

I have to admit that I fell in love with that RWB pineapple quilt that Janet made ... and since I'm relatively new to paper piecing (and LOVE it!) and as a result have become a fanatic about pineapple quilts, I have to say that I'd make a RWB pineapple quilt. It might not be very original, but I know that I'd LOVE it!
