Beautiful Hexie Flowers From Down Under
I just received my April Flowers from Doris, my swap partner in the Inchy Hexegon Flower Swap. Not only are these flowers perfect for my garden, but the stitching is the most beautiful I have ever seen - I can't even see the stitches. I wish I could just drop into see Doris down in Australia and ask her to show me how to do this incredible stitching!! Thank you, Doris, I LOVE my new flowers, they will be wonderful in my little garden!!

New Charm Packs Have Just Arrived!!
I just got my shipment of Summersville Charm Packs for my Etsy store and oh, my, this is the cutest fabric I have seen in a long time. So I thought one of you should have a charm Pack.
This is the debut collection for Moda by Lucie Summers, a screen printer from the UK. Lucie hand draws all of her designs and Summersville is inspired textures and shapes found in the countryside where she lives and her ever-growing vintage thrift store ceramic collection. Together with a large dose of whimsy, Lucie’s colourful textiles are sure to delight and inspire!
This is the collection.
These are some full swatches of some of the fabric!! Oh, so cute!!
Just leave me a message and tell me what you think you would like to make with a charm Pack of this cute fabric and if you want to join me as a follower, I will give you an extra chance at winning!!
I'll pick a winner on May Day!! Good luck everyone!! On this giveaway I may not respond to your comments (as usual) because I am spending extra time with my sweet Dad.

Once I Finally Made a Stack and Whack Block
I started seeing them everywhere!! And I was over at Chris' blog, Shared Creativity, and saw her beautiful regular Stack and Whack made from some gorgeous butterfly fabric and then she also did a 4-patch Stack and Whack from the same fabric and WOW!!
So, of course, Bev and I had to try the 4-patch Stack and Whack and we used Japanese Chrysanthemums by Philip Jacobs.
This process never ceases to amaze me!! I can't find any fabric I like for the sashing and the corner stones so I am going to try to hand-dye some colors that will play well with the fun colors in these blocks.

A Little Sneeky Peek . . .
at my very first "Doll Quilt Swap" quilt! I am just showing a tiny piece because my swap partner may be checking in and I don't want to give too much away!!
I am using Salt Air by Cosmos Cricket for Moda Fabrics ~
I chose this fabric not only because I love all the great colors and fun patterns but Salt Air has a very fun memory for me. The real Saltair was a popular resort located on the South shore of the Great Salt Lake west of Salt Lake City, Utah where I grew up. Opened in 1893, Saltair attracted bathers and hosted picnics and dances. It had a giant roller coaster known all over the state
The buildings were built right on the Great Salt Lake, which was so salty that you could float!!
My Dad and his partner owned the concession stands with all the soda pop, peanuts, hotdogs, popcorn, candy and cotton candy a kid could ever eat!!
In 1970, a fire completely destroyed Salt Air ~
But as I work with this fun fabric, childhood memories fill my head!! Hmmmmm, I just thought - kind of neat that I am making a "doll" quilt with this fun fabric!!

Cancer Awareness Ribbon Pincushion
I made a couple of these darling pincushions for two friends. One had a suspicous mammogram and then was later told she was A-okay!! The second friend did have a malignant tumor, had everything removed and went through two rounds of radiation!! She is now doing well and is back to doing a bit of hand-work.
I am so grateful these two darling friends are alright!! I added lavender to the crushed walnuts and they smelled so good when I put them in the mail!!
