Hexagon Giveaway!!

Ok, so I just got a new shipment of goodies in today and I ordered something new:  a HONEYCOMB Pack.  Now, I know what Charm Packs are and Layer Cakes and Jelly Rolls but did not know what a Honeycomb Pack was until I opened the box!!

Very cool and I know that a certain somebody will love this collection of Paisley Park by Kansas Trouble Quilters because the collection is definitely "dark and dirty"!!  So, in honor of that certain somebody, I am giving a Pack away!

Just let me know in your comment what in world you would do with the honeycomb shape in one of your quilts!!  Because I would have no idea what to do with them except make gigantic hexagon flowers!!

I will chose a winner next Tuesday before I go up to the Blackfoot Quilt Fest in Blackfoot, Idaho!!

Oh, oh, oh, teacher, I know what I would do!!! Pick me, pick me!! : )
This may sound weird, but there is a design I have wanted to try that uses half hex shapes, so I would cut them in half and try it. When it is all sewn together, it looks like whole hexies, but because you halve them and sew them together in rows, there are no "Y" seams.

Use them to make a creative backing. One whole row of them across on a plain backing. I would be able to use them on many backings...spread the beauty around.

I have no idea what I would do with them --except fondle & admire all the fabrics !

But my daughter is an expert quilter & I'm sure she would have lots of ideas for me !

Half hexies used in a braid - we taught this to a class. Alternated with a plain strip that they appliqued their choice of design. My SIL made the 'braid' coasters with them, too - very cute.

I would start by making them feel at home, showing them their new home in the stash. There is another honeycomb precut for them to meet. I'd sew them together with the machine method of no inset seams, then make something fabulous out of it all my quilting friends would want. Thanks so much for the chance to win.
I follow you by email.

LOL! You're so cute!! I know what I'd go...I just purchased some new 1/3 hexie templates and that's how I'd put them to GREAT use!!! I didn't realize they made that 'shape' either! Precuts just kinda blow my mind!

How fun you're getting to head up to Idaho for the Blackfoot Quilt Festival!! I hope you have a lovely, marvelous time!! :)

I've never used a honeycomb precut before, but I'd make a couple of zipper pouches... I know that I saved a pattern in my Pinterest profile!! Thanks for the chance!!

They would go in a Garden quilt. It's a nice hand-sew project to carry around.

I have loved Hexies for a long time, and have made several quilts with them. I would love to have your offer, and by the way, Tuesday 3/28 is my birthday!
