Our hands are a very similar shape--I know that wasn't exactly your topic, but the picture caught my attention.
I love dyeing yarn -- but I do wear gloves, the disposable kind, I just swap gloves when I need to!
For your "dyed" fingers, try the Magic Eraser. It actually removes tar from your hands without much scrubbing.
