Congratulations on 12 years! That's amazing. Sadly, I cannot remember what I was doing 12 years ago but I know I hadn't started my quilting blog yet, just my family history blog.
I love your Saturday's Smile posts and hope you continue those. They always bring a smile and sometimes a chuckle. Thanks for posting them.

I don't remember all the details of 12 years ago, but I do know I was looking forward to my first grandbaby, who was born on May 25th that year. I was also looking forward to May for another reason as it was my last year of teaching. I retired a year earlier than planned so I could help babysit the new baby. I have loved every minute of it. I still get to pick her up from school a couple of days a week.
I love reading the Saturday Smile posts. They always make me happy!

Congratulations on your 12 year blogversary!!! What a fantastic accomplishment. I’m sure 12 years ago I was probably reading blogs and driving my 10 year old son to a friends home or having a friend of his to our home. I did both often, do I remember exactly, no. ;-> Thanks for blogging it keeps me involved like I have my own personal quilt guild, that I can log into when I have the time. Thank you

Congrats on 12 years of blogging. I know exactly what we were doing 12 years ago. We had just bought a new house, and we were in the process of painting, getting new carpets, making repairs before moving in. Not much sewing going on during those days :-)

Wow--12 years! That is great, Kris. I was going to be a smart aleck and tell you exactly what I was doing 12 years ago today, because I save my desk calendars. However, I only have easy access as far back as 2011, if you can believe it. The older ones are in a box somewhere in the basement.
Anyway, I know I was NOT blogging yet, or reading blogs, either. That all started in 2011. However I WAS quilting, and helping my Dad write his history and do his finances. I was playing Scrabble with my Mom every Tuesday morning, and I was teaching an adult Sunday School class. Also, I was helping Aimee a great deal of the time as Ben had started having seizures and I stayed with the three older children while she took him to specialists--or, if she could make other arrangements for them, I would go with her so she wouldn't have to be alone driving Ben in case he had a seizure on the way. That much I do know.
And I have to say that I love Edgar Guest. Though his poetry form is very traditional, he has some great messages and I have always enjoyed them.As we cleaned out Mom's house recently I came across a book of his poetry that I never knew Mom had. It came home with me.
I am so glad to have you in my life. We had some good times together, didn't we?
Hey, I can't even post once a week, it seems. You are doing great! Congrats on reaching 12 years!

According to my notes I was shoving snow!!
Not so much this year we are having a dry winter here on the high desert.

I so look forward to your Saturday Smiles and frequently share them with my friends on line.

Congratulations on your blogversary. I was working full time and sewing in my spare time. Would love to see updates on your remodeling.

That is a wonderful accomplishment! I live in Idaho so we usually get snow into May also. It has been a very cold winter with not enough snow to end our terrible drought. Instead of worrying about something I can't change, I am quilting! Twelve years ago I was teaching at one of Salt Lake City's poorest elementary schools. Now I am happily retired and enjoying grandchildren and being with my husband. Life is fabulous at any point!

12 years ago my youngest son had just left to go on his mission for the church and so after 36 years of raising children I was an empty nester. I should have been celebrating but instead I was a little sad that the era was over. Congratulations on your 12 years blogging anniversary.

Dah...12 years ago, you say. I don't remember what I did yesterday!! I'm sure I was sewing/quilting, though. I'm nearly always in a funk if I haven't done something with fabric, thread, needles, and pins each day. Saturday Smiles are always fun; I do share with my sister - we have a chuckle and a smile.

Congratulations, Kris! My daughter was getting ready to graduate 12 years ago. I was quilting everything on my domestic machine, and quilting was my sanity. I also was taking a ceramic class. Have a great week!

That is funny, I cheated and looked at my blog posts to see what I posted on this day. I was having a giveaway of my own, so I guess that is what I did on this day, lol.

Congratulations on your 12 years! One more and you’ll be a teenager - are you ready for that? I was working FT and only had time on some weekends to do sewing things. I love a good mystery.

Congratulations on your 12 year Anniversary. I love reading Saturday’s Smiles!! 12 years ago this month I was recovering from breat reduction surgery. I had wanted it for so long, so at the age of 59 I had it done. To this day I’m still thrilled I had it done. Hugs,

Twelve years of blogging is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations! Your Saturday Smiles always bring a smile to my face and many times even a laugh out loud moment. I honestly have no idea what I was doing a couple of years ago, let alone 12 years ago.

I was teaching second grade and looking forward to a two week tour of China in June with my husband. I wasn't quilting then. I would sometimes drop by a quilting shop to dream of the days of retirement when I would begin my new life of free time and doing lots of quilting. It was the beginning of March when the weather in Utah starts to warm up. My students would begin to get very frisky just like me!
