In this super busy life that I have managed to create for myself, I have taken some time to get a little sewing done to fulfill my swapping obligations.
I spent some time last week trying to figure out what hexies I had received and what flowers I have sent out in the Inchy Hexagon Swap and I realized that I have been in this swap for around 6 or so years. So, I have decided to say goodbye for now.
These are my June flowers and they go to Debra down under.
Then I was asked to make some Angel Flowers (these are flowers for someone who did not get their flowers from the person who was supposed to send them).
These Angel Flowers are winging their way to Nina in Norway.
Also, I thought that with my new longarm adventure I am going to be pretty busy and I decided to leave the POTC swap as of the June swap. This one is my May POTC block and it is for Janet. I still have the June POTC block to finish by the end of the month.
Then I have been working diligently on my One Monthly Goal project. I am trying to get this done by June 18th so I can send it off to Sonny.
I also learned how to load a quilt using the floating top method and to baste the quilt down for quilting. I also worked on placing the same pattern throughout the quilt but YIKES I had no idea how to do it and it turned out to be a mess!! So I did some research and found out that I need to "nest" the pattern as I move down the quilt. So, that is what I am going to work on this morning.

Really pretty hexies and I just love that cross block you made--and studied how you had fussy cut it--just lovely--the wavy quilt top is neat also--keep practing with that new big machine--and remember to tell you the 'boss' is now--you not it!!!
enjoy, di
Lovely blocks all! There’s a lot to learn, but you’ll get it all figured out, and then it will come as second nature! Above all else, keep it fun.
Wow -- you've been busy! Your POTC block is really lovely. They are such fun to work with, aren't they? I love you patriotic piece! :)
How nice of you to make angel flowers. :)
Love the fussy cutting on your POTC block!
About this longarm adventure--is there room in your studio for anything else now? I hope you fall in love with machine quilting on your new baby!!
