Oh, my! I don't think I have ever seen this photo before. What fresh, young faces. Were they ever really that innocent looking? Hate to say it--that was the year I was born. : )
I was 16 and family was in the process of moving from my childhood home in Euclid, OH to N. Palm Beach, Fl. At the time it was horrendous for me, but all in all I learned a lot and can move anywhere anytime at the drop of a hat. Good life lessons. I missed Beatle Mania really and was Elvis, and Ricky Nelson fan. American Bandstand saved my life at the time. 8-)
I'm happy to say it was the year of my birth! I'm not too old YET... Came over from Sharon's Blog, I'll be adding you to my Blog Rolll now. Fun stuff here.

I was 13 and more of an Elvis fan.
I was just 6 and fascinated with my neighbors pony.

Not quite the youngest in these comments. I was 3 years old at the very end of 1957. Gosh what a long time ago!

Well, I wasn't born yet, but, somehow, even my children still recognize Beetles songs. Part of our culture and memory, whether we were there or not.
It was a very good year since that is the year WM and I were born!
I was 8 in 1957, too.
Wow..look how young they were. So cool. I wasn't born yet. Another 9 years to go. ;)
