Am I Like the Very Last One on the Planet (Well, Except Bev) . . .

to make a Stack and Whack quilt??

Some friends and I have been talking about doing a Stack and Whack quilt but we had no idea how to do one. Well, I couldn't get it out of my mind and so I decided to figure out how to make one.

I have had this darling piece of fabric for yearsssssssssss and could never decide how I wanted to use it ~

So, after learning what to do on a Stack and Whack, I realized this was the perfect fabric and so, here is my first block ~

This whole concept just contiunes to amaze me and whoever came up with the idea of the Stack and Whack gets my high five!!!

Ok, on to the next block and there goes all the projects I am SUPPOSED to be working on!!

Well-you are not the last one on the planet to do a stack n wack! I have not done one yet! I think you may have inspired me to try it. I borrowed a book on it from our guild library. Now I just need to pull it out and play with it!

This looks like a fantastic way to use unusual printed fabrics, that you're not sure what else to do with them. I'd love to learn how to cut it up into perfect shapes (how do you allow for 1/4 inch seams?). You must know the tricks! Good for you for figuring it all out and posting your first two blocks! I'm so impressed. I'll bet it gets easier as you go. Hurray for you - I can't wait to see it finished! Carol Wood

I believe Bethany Reynolds was the first one to publish a book on the Stack and Wack technique. I have several of her books.
Yours looks great.
