First of all, the fun news is that my February UFO quilt went to the Charity Auction this past Saturday night (I did get it done - even though I was still binding it an hour before we left for the dinner) and this sweet lady bought it for $175.00!! Woo!! Hoo!!
The not so fun news is that I am getting in the car this morning to travel to Colorado springs to be a witness in a civil trial!! Ickk!! Then onto St. George (the south end of Utah) for the funeral of my cute little friend that I made the green scarf (a January UFO) for last month.
Congrats on the fundraiser! Good job.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about what lies ahead of you--especially sorry about the passing of your friend.
Yes, I had missed my Saturday smile, but I think I saw you in the post office Friday night just before closing and that made me smile. I was at the front of a long line and you came in and dropped off some packages across the room (and were munching on something--looked good). I didn't feel like hollering at you across the crowded room. I didn't get a good look at your face, but I thought it was you--was it?
Have a safe journey!
Glad to hear how well your donated quilt did, but sorry to hear of your loss - safe travels.
ReplyDeleteYay for making such a great amount on your donated quilt. Sorry to hear about your friend passing.
ReplyDeleteI'd do anything to stay out of court. I just get all tied up in knots when I go for any reason, so I feel for you. Congrats on your donated quilt! And you are headed to some of my old stomping grounds. St George has some great little quilt shoppes, but I'm sure you know that. Sorry about your loss!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for doing well with your fundraiser.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about your loss and I hope you have a safe trip. We just got our power and internet back after four days.
Debbie

ReplyDeleteGreat job on the quilt -- that was quite a deal! I'm so sorry about your friend, Kris. And I'm sorry you're having to do all that travel for the court thing, too. Stay safe and be careful and know you are much missed ... and prayed for, too! :)
ReplyDeleteGood news about the fundraiser and be safe on your travels.
ReplyDeleteWell done with the fundraiser. Sorry for your loss and take care on your journey.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to read about the death of your friend. I pray the civil trial doesn't require too much time from you.
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry -- the news about the fundraiser is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWell done on raising so much for your quilt. Thinking of you as you have a fairly torrid time coming up. I'm sure your friend enjoyed her scarf in the short time that she was able to wrap herself in it's warmth. She would have wrapped herself in your love and friendship too. Sorry for your loss. Prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the fundraiser quilt, and sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. :( I am also scheduled for jury duty next week. Take Care! xo
ReplyDeleteA wonderful quilt for charity. I'm so sorry you lost your friend.
