I finally got to the first star row and it was just as much fun this second time. Because now I know that I am making a flag!! Plus, I know I only have 8 rows left to go!!
It's looking like I might make my goal of next Monday to have this top completed!!

I know I've missed a lot of posts, but looking for clarification here. This is your original pattern, is it not? You are making this one for what purpose? Inquiring minds want to know. Maybe if I would go back and read older posts I would find out. :)
