Lucky Me!!

A younger friend of mine just passed away recently but she knew several months before she left that her time was short.  So, with all the energy she could muster, she worked on quilt tops for her friends so that some of us could finish them after she had gone and get them to the blessed recipients.

I was asked to do the binding on this huge king-sized quilt ~

It is just stunning and Sheriah, another friend did the quilting!!  It is always so amazing to me how many blessings come into my life because of quilting and all the wonderful women I have had the opportunity to meet!!

Diana, may you be at peace with your Heavenly Father!!

So good of you to do this, Kris. Binding a king size quilt would take me about a month!
Was this a local friend or someone you knew before moving here?

What a gift - from Diana to you in being able to help her with a final wish and to the quilt recipient, and from you to Diana and the person she wanted to receive the quilt. Blessings to you in your loss.

Kris, you have one of the sweetest, most generous spirits I've ever come across. What a lovely tribute to your friend, to be able to be a part of finishing her quilt. Praying for you as you grieve. :)
