Happy Birthday to Me Giveaway!!

This was Diane's Birthday Cake from Twiggs Bakery

I am now "officially" old!!  Ha! Ha! I got my Medicare card and today I turn 65 years old!!  But wait, in my head I still feel about 23!!  My cute, chubby body says "No way, darling!!

So, I thought this was a perfect day to give away some birthday presents and I love lots of presents!!

Its time for a new little mini table runner for the dining room table so I thought
these 2 Mini Charm Packs would be perfect!!

And you have to have great, super sharp pins, so these Clover Fine pins should do the trick!!

I have always wanted to learn to hand quilt and when Janet O. over at The Rogue Quilter and I find some time, she is going to teach me hand quilting!!

Now, this pattern is perfect for my Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

And of course, using the BEST thread on the planet is a must and I love green, so this large spool of pale neutral green Aurifil thread should do the trick!!

So, if you would like to share in my birthday celebration, let me know which present you would like and why you think turning 65 must be the most wonderful day in the world.

NOW, if you DON'T tell me why you think turning 65 is the the most wonderful day in the world, you will be disqualified from the Giveaway.  Hey, what do I think this is - my birthday??

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!

I will choose winners Tuesday night ~ that will give you some time to think about which gift you would like to receive!!

I think you turning 65 is the most wonderful day of the year for you because you could be pushing up daisies. So doesn't it beat the alternative. I would love to try the green neutral aurifil thread. Have a most wonderful birthday.

Turning 65 is the most wonderful day. Look at all the discounts you now can quality for. Life is grand. Specially when others think you are way younger!
I love it.

I have just a couple of more years to find out that answer, but I think you have a most wonderful 65 day and to share it makes it the most wonderful day for us. I love those sharp glass head pins.

What a milestone! Celebrating a 65th birthday is marvelous because...it means you're still on this earth to enjoy life, to love the special people in your life, and to have time to spend on the things in your life(sewing, quilting) that you love/like to do. Grand giveaways and any would be super though I also want to learn hand-quilting and the needles would be a step in the right direction. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you; glad to have you join my special group of oldies but goodies!!

You are as Young as your feel. 65 is just a NUmber. Lucky you to live near Janet O! She is a Jewel. Nice of you to have a giveaway on YOUR B-day. The Mini Charms would be fun to play with until my B-day in a couple weeks. Hope I WIN!

Oh, my, we need to get out for lunch, for sure! It just seems that everything got pushed into the week between Christmas and New Years because everyone thinks nothing goes on then. For me, everything is going on then!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dear friend. So glad we could visit a few minutes before Christmas. Did you get the quilt finished on time?
I think 65 is the new middle age! So enjoy!! : )

Happy birthday to you and many more!!! YAY FOR 65! I think everyday and every year is a bonus. I had breast cancer at 40 with a 6 yr old son, my goal in life is to be old and to be a granma, know matter what the packaging looks like. I'll be 49 on ground hogs day, a bonus. Everyday is a gift that's why they call it the present. Happy! Happy! Hope you have a blessed day. ;-> Toni Anne

I think 65 is wonderful because you now qualify for social security.....aka retirement....that means you can spend all day every day doing exactly what you love to do. Yeah! I'm loving the green neutral thread.

65 is that goal some of us have to make to retirement to fill our days with things we enjoy doing. Glad you made it! :) Happy Birthday. I think any of the items you shared would be nice to have and useful for 2015 quilt projects.

Well of course its the most wonderful day~ the discounts at all the shops and restaurants, and quilt shops! Oh my! And I kinda like the cake sentiment too, but I hope it isn't true! LOL Happy Birthday! I love thread, can never have enough and green is my favorite color. Thanks for the fun!

Many happy returns Kris.I agree with most comments. getting old( any age you think is old can be added there) is better than the alternative and that is a lot more permanent. Enjoy your day and look forward to being 75. Count me out of the giveaway I just want to wish you every blessing on your day.

Happy Birthday to you!

I'm just a few weeks behind you in age, will turn 65 in January. Unfortunately, my retirement age is 66 (though I have my new Medicare card) and I still have to earn 4 more credits/quarters to get social security.

I think the wonderful thing about 65 is that you can take it a little easier if you want (and don't have to work), or continue at whatever pace you're comfortable.

The little charm packs look delightful.

You are very generous to offer a give-away on your own birthday!

I think turning 65 would be wonderful because you're young enough to play and old enough to know how. Have a wonderful day! I'd love your pins.

KaHolly said...

Glad to see you embrace your age. I turned 60 this year and am still trying to wrap my brain around it. Perhaps I should wrap a fat quarter around it instead!! Do not include me in the give away, but DO include me in all who wish you a wonderful, happy birthday!!

Janarama said...

I haven't reached that milestone yet. The great thing about turning 65 to me would be that I'm still alive, kicking and wiser than I was the year before. Happy Belated Birthday and wishing you many more to come.

Janarama said...

Darn it, I forgot to mention I would like the Clover Fine Pins.

scarlett said...

Oh, Turning 65 is awesome because you are here to enjoy it!
You get to enjoy all the senior benefits without looking your age!

Tammy J said...

Happy Birthday, Kris! I hope it was a wonderful day.

Kathy MacKie said...

I think 65 is the best day because you get the seniors discount and that means more moolah for quilty goodness right. Love the look of those mini charm packs!
