I've Been Working and Working and Working and . . .

working on cutting all these little, and I do mean little, 2" squares!!  Yiks, I joined a postage stamp swap  and had no idea was I was getting myself into!!

I am sending out 700 hundred - well, I am sending them out as soon as they get done!!  LOL!!!  It will really be fun to get 700 little squares back in the mail - all different!!  But once they arrive, what do I do with them??

I find the easiest way is to select a solid color - white, grey, black - and cut a strip the WOF (so if your squares are 2" - 2" strip) and then just chain those puppies thru the machine by laying the square on the strip (right sides together). Then press that strip set - either to square or to strip - doesn't matter - just be consistant. Then just cut those apart, match up two like a 4-patch. Now you have those 4-patches to lay out - I just keep chaining those steps until they are all gone! and ta-dah, a quilt top.

Sorry, don't know how to post a link, but scroll down and look at the scrappy 2" blocks. I have started my own collection of 2" blocks.

Holy cow. I had to cut 25 2-1/2" blocks today, and that was plenty. 700?!?!?!? Whew!! I do like Sharon's idea for putting them together, though! :)
