We Just Finished Watching Some VERY Powerful TV

I don't think there is a whole lot of really good stuff on television these days but we just finished watching "Five" on the Lifetime channel this evening and I felt it was worth blogging about.
The groundbreaking original movie “Five” is an anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people’s lives. “Five” highlights the shared experience each short film’s title character endures from the moment of diagnosis, through an interconnected story arc that uses humor and drama to focus on the effect breast cancer and its different stages of diagnosis have on relationships and the way women perceive themselves while searching for strength, comfort, medical breakthroughs and, ultimately, a cure.

And in looking up the information to share, I came across the website, http://www.mylifetime.com/movies/five, that not only talks about the film but also has a lot of really great information on breast cancer.  Also, you can actually watch the full movie right on your computer.

If you have ever known anyone who has had or has breast cancer, this is a very powerful movie to watch!! It's funny, it's sad, it's real, it's thought-provoking and as you can tell, I really, really liked this anthology of five short films.

Just check out the website if nothing else!!

I'd heard little snippets about Demi Moore directing FIVE or something but never really heard what it was about. Thanks for reviewing it for me, I'll have to check it out.

I will have to check it out. We lost my aunt to breast cancer, so it is a close topic to my heart.

Thank you for the link. I do not watch hardly any tv so I am glad that I will be able to view it later.
